H&R "DR Series" 57.1mm centerbore wheel spacers

Need more brake clearance or just want a more aggressive look from your wheels? H&R Wheel Spacers are the answer! H&R DR series wheel spacers are available in 3-20mm thicknesses. These spacers are fitted between the wheel and hub, using longer wheel bolts (ordered separately).

H&R TRAK+ wheel spacers are made from a proprietary aluminum/magnesium alloy which is not only incredibly strong, but also very light weight (up to 70% lighter than a comparable steel product). TRAK+ wheel spacers are then hard anodized to ensure a tough, durable finish that is resistant to chipping, scratching and oxidation. Measurement:
On Audi's and Volkswagen's the lower the numerical value of the wheel offset is the further they will be set from the centerline of the vehicle, so if you have a 35mm offset wheel and use a 5mm spacer the offset effectively becomes ET 30. Wheel offset minus spacer width equals effective offset.

NOTE:
Audi and Volkswagen use a "Hub-Centric" wheel mounting, this means that the wheel is centered on the hub for mounting and load bearing. This can cause certain restrictions with spacer sizing as outlined below:
The length of the centering portion of the hub on Audi's and VW's varies from model to model, certain spacers do not have enough room to accomodate the longer hubs. Hub height is easy to measure with the wheel removed.
H&R 5mm and 8mm DR Spacers may "cover up" the entire portion of the hub reserved for hub-centering due to their thickness and lack of a built in hub-center on the spacer itself, this can lead to vibration issues if not installed perfectly.
H&R 8 - 12mm DR spacers have a 4 to 7mm high 45 degree chamfer built into the spacer itself, the shape and size of this chamfer is not compatible with all wheels, we will be able to tell you if they are compatible with Hartmann wheels but won't be able to check against other wheels unless you are local and can bring your wheels to us.

Installation:

Firstly confirm that the spacer fits flush both against the wheel as well as against the hub, there can be a few reasons that it may not, especially on 8-12mm spacers.
Clean hubs if rusty/gunky with a wire brush.
Install spacers and wheels in the air with zero load on the tire, use the E-brake or have someone step on the brakes and tighten the lugs to 89 Ft-Lbs first in a star pattern, followed by a circle. Be sure that you get 6.5 turns of thread engagement on the lug bolts. Be sure that you are using the correct ball seat or cone seat lugs for the wheel. Re-torque the lugs after 1 week on brand new wheels.

In our experience properly installed high quality spacers will never cause a vibration. They may make an existing vibration issue from off-balance wheels or worn suspension components more noticeable however.
