APR CB100028-RSC 3.0" Stainless Steel Cat-back RSC Exhaust for Audi A3 2.0T

The APR CB100028 RSC Exhaust for the Audi A3 is a stainless steel, 3.0" CNC mandrel bent, catback exhaust. APR's RSC ™ technology is now available in the A3 2.0T RSC™ Performance Exhaust System. Reflective Sound Cancellation allows for maximum exhaust gas flow while completely eliminating in cabin sound resonance (drone). RSC™ incorporates innovative technologies developed in conjunction with NASA. With limited use of packing materials and no baffles, RSC™ allows for a completely straight and free flowing exhaust path through the RSC™ mufflers. Reflective Cancellation bounces the undesirable sound waves into each other to attenuate the wave and completely eliminate the low frequency tones that create drone. Each RSC™ muffler is tuned to eliminate specific, undesirable sound frequencies allowing only the engine's desirable exhaust notes to be heard and improving performance.

On the A3, the stock Audi exhaust is almost 2.5" and flows very well even on a chipped car. Unlike the older 1.8T, simply adding an exhaust to a stock or chipped 2.0T does not make a very big gain over the stock setup which has to do with the new engine management (ME9) and FSI, however, there are substantial gains that can be seen by making a software change after adding the exhaust. With APR exhaust-specific software, peak gains of 18hp and 20lb-ft can be seen. At some RPM's, these gains are as high as 22hp and 25lb-ft. APR exhaust-specific software is available for free for all APR ECU Upgrade customers.

RSC™ technology provides sound levels comparable or even quieter than OEM exhaust systems at cruising speed. RSC's™ straight through design minimizes back pressure and provides gains greater than other performance exhaust systems.
