STaSIS SE811-E11-02-00 Cat-back Exhaust for Audi R8 V10 5.2L

The STaSIS R8 V10 exhaust system replaces the single muffler setup used on the OEM system with a with a dual muffler design incorporating a “X” style crossover. This allows a small portion of the exhaust pulses from opposing cylinder banks to cross over and create a pressure depression for the next pulse coming through the exhaust. This effect helps create power by reducing back pressure pulses behind the engine to negative levels. Tubing diameter on the STaSIS exhaust is 10mm larger than the factory system reducing back pressure and enabling greater flow capability than stock. Minimizing back pressure and increasing flow allows the engine to “breathe” easier resulting peak gains of 18HP and as much as 40HP at other areas in the powerband, Torque is also increased from 3,000RPM to redline. The STaSIS R8 exhaust also saves 25Lbs of weight over the stock exhaust which will increase all aspects of performance.

The STaSIS mufflers incorporate reflective (active) and passive technologies to optimize sound and performance. The round muffler chamber has been extensively developed and tested to achieve an exhaust note that is noticeably deeper and stronger at all throttle applications while maintaining a tone that is not intrusive or “droning” at normal everyday driving speeds.

The STaSIS R8 V10 exhaust system is designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. as a direct bolt-in replacement, no welding or fabrication is required. The utilization of the OEM V-band connection allows for ease of installation and provides for a proper interface using a custom designed flange to mate with the OEM flange. All OEM heat shields are retained to ensure no additional thermal stress is introduced into the vehicle's structural and cosmetic components. The STaSIS exhaust is mounted with the existing OEM exhaust hangers. All pipes on the STaSIS exhaust system are made of T-304 Stainless Steel and precisely shaped with a CNC mandrel bender to insure an easy and direct bolt-in replacement. All mounting and support plates are precisely manufactured on a CNC laser cutting table. All welds are back gassed using the TIG method for cleanliness, precision and strength. The entire exhaust system is polished to a mirror shine for a brilliant luster.

Testing was performed at STaSIS' facility at Infineon Raceway, surrounding country roads in Sonoma, and the city streets of San Francisco.
